Lot 14: Chinese Smoking and Gaming Items plus 3 Card Cases

1st item: Chinese cloisonne and hardwood cigar and cigarette smoking set with rounded corners, the sides inset with cloisonne enameled dragon decoration, having fitted compartments for cigars and cigarettes with dragon finials to lids, plus a cloisonne lighter and four cloisonne ashtrays with dragon decoration. Cloisonne inset handles. 13 in. W x 10 in. D x 5 in. H. 2nd through 4th items: 3 cloisonne ashtrays, including 1 footed ashtray with removable top. 5th item: Hardwood game counter with fitted cloisonne enameled top having inlaid monogram GMT and rounded edges, 1 1/4 in H x 11 3/4 in L x 3 1/4 in D. All early 20th century. 6th item: Playing card case with neillo style etched metal decoration featuring peacock design on lid, dual wood-lined compartments. 1 in. H x 4 in D. x 6 1/2 in W. 7th and 8th items: Two Japanese Damascene metal calling card and/or cigarette cases, one decorated with a Tiger, the other with a mountain scene, possibly Mt. Fuji. 3 in. x 5 in. All items early to mid-20th century.

CONDITION:

1 ashtray with losses to underside, otherwise all items in very good condition with light wear from use. 6th-8th items: Overall good condition aside from the following: 6th item: some minor wear, small area of dent/losses to one corner. 7th and 8th items: some abrasions to Mt. Fuji case with break to interior strap; wear to Tiger scene.
