Boldly signed by Sam Houston (elected Tennessee's 7th governor 1827, resigned 1829). Contemporary ebonized frame. Sight: 14-3/4" x 12", framed 16" x 13-1/2". Condition: Discoloration and partial separations fold line, fold across signature, small loss along fold line at upper center, overall toning/discoloration.
