Spanish Colonial Cuzco School oil on canvas painting depicting St. Francis of Assisi holding a crucifix with a halo around his head and the stigmata visible on his left hand, bordered by a painted foliate surround. Unframed. 30″ H x 23″ W. 19th century or earlier.
CONDITION: Painting has been lined with a combination of burlap and canvas around the perimeter of newer stretchers. Overall light grime, scattered abrasions, and losses, primarily to the upper quadrant.
