New England dome-shaped white pine lift top small trunk having comb grained red painted ground with black overlay and gold cartouche highlights. Square nail and board construction. The top with initials "W" and "H". Screw wire hook hinges and iron lock. 11" H x 26" W x 13" D. 1st half 19th century. CONDITION: Some wear to edges. Iron hinge pins loose. Iron hasp and lock plate old but possibly replaced.
