East Tennessee red and white wool coverlet, Maryville Woolen Mill. Corners inscribed "M.W.M. Tenn." Borders decorated with eagles, birds, potted flowers, foliage, and dogs carrying flags, center field with foliage and wreath decoration. 73 1/2" x 78". Late 19th century. The Maryville Woolen Mill Co. in Blount County, Tennessee operated from 1874 to 1906. Condition: Repair to one margin with small 1/2" size hole to another margin.
