Two (2) Guillaume Cornelis van Beverloo AKA Corneille (Dutch, 1922-2010) color lithographs on wove paper. Item 1: Lithograph entitled “Image D’Un Ete” (Image of Summer) with a female nude who reclines beneath a sun and bird. Signed, dated, and numbered 61/200 in white, lower right. Unframed. 25 1/2 in. H x 19 3/4 in. W. 1981. Item 2: Lithograph entitled “Divan Blu” (Blue Sofa) with two nude women, one seated and one who lies on the floor. Signed, dated, and numbered 209/250 in pencil, lower left. With Atelier Dumas Inc., New York blindstamp, lower left. Unframed. 19 3/8 in. H x 25 1/2 in. W. 1979.
PROVENANCE: Private Baltimore, MD collection.
CONDITION: 1st item in overall very good condition. 2nd item with foxing throughout plus dampstaining or liquid accretion especially to righthand third of composition, primarily in legs of reclined figure and in couch. Also with 6-inch long scrape or scuff to lower right corner along with abrasions to 5 x 3 1/2-inch area in legs of seated figure, 5 1/2 x 1 1/4-inch area in face and upper body of reclined figure plus several indentations to chest, and to two 1 x 1 inch areas in red at upper left.
