Federal cherry tall case clock. Wooden works, dial face painted with federal eagle and Masonic symbols, pendulum and two weights. Condition – Not tested for functionality, expected wear to clock face, and missing minute hand. 83 1/4" H X 15" W X 9 1/2" D. Likely Southern. 1st quarter 19th century. Provenance: Acquired in 1954 from the estate of Leigh M. Griffith, one of the founders of NASA. Griffith acquired the clock in the coastal Virginia area.
