American Federal style flame mahogany inlaid desk, after Thomas Seymour. Consisting of two pieces, the upper section with an overhanging inlaid cornice top above two tambour doors with bell flower garland inlay flanked by Corinthian column inlaid sides. The lower section consisting of a fold-out writing shelf covered in green baize above two dovetailed doors with fan inlay and oval brasses, above tapering legs with line and bellflower inlay. 45" H x 34 1/4" W x 18" D. Early 20th century.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with expected light wear. Some horizontal wood shrinkage noted to one side of the top, some wear and light staining to baize. Tambour doors are missing pulls.
