Asian bronze figural vase depicting a large tree with figures of men engaged in various activities amongst the branches along with a foo dog figure, an ox figure, a deer figure and dogwood blossoms entwined around the trunk, all on a raised and pierced naturalistic root base. Now mounted as a lamp and fixed to a conforming ebonized base. Vase – 18 3/4" H. 29 1/2" total H x 11 1/2" W x 9 1/2" D. 28 lbs. Late 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Christine Rehnke, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: Overall good condition with general oxidation and patination to the body and general wear. Lamp not tested for functionality.
