Southern cherry corner cupboard with inset panels of walnut, poplar secondary. Two-part construction with canted sides, upper section with cove cornice and plain frieze with molding above two paneled upper doors enclosing three shelves; lower section with two paneled doors enclosing one shelf, above medial molding and a base with bracket feet and returns. 82" H x 43 1/4" W x 19 3/4" D. Possibly Kentucky, Circa 1825.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Donley and Eunice Hill, Andersonville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Older cleaned surface. Overall general use wear with some minor staining and scratching. Approx. 1" of the lower front feet facings replaced while the feet facings for the canted returns are all original. Returns on cornice are older replacements. Interior shelves with wear to the front edges. Lower right base backboard with rodent damage.
