East Tennessee redware jug, found in Hawkins County, possibly Greene or Jefferson County. Extruded handle, incised lines around neck, delicate tapered rim and beaded base. Light tin clay body, lead glaze with iron oxide. Overallvery good condition with chips to inner rim and one chip to base. 9 1/4" H. Second quarter of the 19th century. Provenance: Rogersville, TN estate.
