2 Coin silver julep cups, each of slightly tapering form with threaded rim and foot ring, the bottoms marked Merriman and Memphis in separate rectangles (James E. Merriman, working Memphis, 1845-1860). Smaller cup has later monogram "JAKE." Larger is monogrammed SWB on one side, the other side with presentation inscription: Appreciation / Pediatric Department / University of Louisville 1948. 3" and 3-1/2"H, 8.115 oz troy. Provenance: the collection of John Montague, Memphis, Tenn. Condition: A couple of small dents and scratches, overall good condition.
