Three (3) Robert Young Clay (Tennessee / Virginia, 1936-2010) watercolor landscape paintings on paper, including two snow scenes and one of an expressionist tree in a green field. All signed, dated and matted and in protective plastic coverings. Ranging in sight size from 4 1/2 in. W x 3 1/2 in. H to 9 1/2 in. W x 6 1/4 in. H, and ranging in mat size from 9 1/2 in. square to 17 in. W x 15 in. W. Unframed. Biography: Robert Young Clay was born in Dixon Springs, Tennessee, and studied painting at the University of Tennessee under Kermit Ewing and Walter Hollis Stevens. He lived the last 35 years of his life in Richmond Virginia. Most of his works were based on memories of landscapes in Tennessee.
PROVENANCE: By descent in the family of the artist.
CONDITION: All paintings in excellent condition. One mat with discoloration. Some tears to protective plastic coverings.
