Two early photographic images of soldiers, found in Tennessee. 1st item: Sixth plate size daguerrotype of a young man in American uniform, probably Mexican-American War (1846-1848), seated in a chair. Leather Union case with raised decoration. 2nd item: Ninth plate size tintype of bearded young man in uniform, likely Union Army, in embossed gilt metal frame, circa 1860. Condition: Images in overall good condition. 1st item has some spotting along edges and 2nd item has some minor wear/oxidation to the gilt frame.
