Southern walnut huntboard with three drawers over three deeper drawers, six tapered Hepplewhite style legs. Inset middle section encompasses center bank of drawers, simple walnut moldings on sides of top. Upper bank of drawers square nailed construction with lower three drawers having dovetailed construction, sides with narrow over larger panel. Unusual inward tapering of middle front legs, wooden pulls. Yellow pine secondary. 43 1/4"H x 49 1/2"W x 19 1/2"D. Second quarter of the 19th century, South Carolina. Provenance – Lexington, Kentucky area collection. Condition: Older refinish, backboards and some drawers with old insect damage, some later drawer supports.
