Pair of Stephen Arthur Galton (British,1829-1904) oil on canvas seaside scene paintings. One titled “Evening on the Cornish Coast” and the other “Evening on the South Coast.”  Both signed “S.A. Galton” and dated 1898. Set in gilt wood frames behind glass. Sight:  23 in. H x 15 in. W.  Framed: 35 in. H. x 27 in. W x 4 in. D

PROVENANCE: The estate of Dr. Ian M. Mathison, Murfreesboro TN and Big Rapids, MI.

CONDITION: Craquelure present on both paintings, but otherwise in good condition. Not examined outside of frames.
