Assembled collection of twelve (12) wood boxes, including five (5) graduated oval Shaker style boxes – each with two fingers fastened with nails; two (2) miniature pill boxes with one retaining the original "Ayer's Pills" label; one (1) folk art box with a brass bail handle, mother of pearl heart and diamond inlay and the initials I & I; one (1) pipe box with a beveled and sliding lid; one (1) small hinged tobacco box with carved figural lid; one (1) longer pipe box with sliding lid; and one (1) hanging wall box with dovetailed sides and a shaped back. Ranging in size from 3/4" H to 5 3/8" H x 11 5/8" W x 7 5/8" D. Late 19th century/early 20th century. Provenance: Nancy Walton Collection, Gatlinburg, TN. CONDITION: One shaker box with damage to base and one side, label to one small pill box absent. Remaining boxes with overall general use wear.
