Two Owensboro, KY miniature flat sided whiskey jugs. 1st item – Flat sided miniature whiskey jug with blue stenciled letters, "Take a Smile with Ames of Owensboro", verso "MFR. of PLEASURE VEHICLES ——— BRED IN OLD KENTUCKY". Excellent condition. 2 7/8" height. 2nd item – Flat sided miniature whiskey jug with black stenciled letters, "Take An Eye Opener, Then(sp?) Examine, "Buggies Bred in Old Kentucky""", verso, "Compliments of F. A. Ames & Co. Owensboro, Ky." Overall very good condition, fleabite nick to rim, tight spidering on lower half of one side. 3" height. Note – Green River whiskey was used to fill these jugs that will given out complimentary of Ames Buggy Co. (courtesy Thomas Noel). Condition: See description.
