Four (4) Asian-style porcelain vases wired as table lamps. 1st item: Square form vase in the Imari palette with foliate and foo lion designs throughout having foo lion mask handles mounted on a hardwood base with slipper feet and wired with brass components. 12 3/8" H. Overall: 19 3/8" H x 6 3/4" dia. 2nd item: Rouleau form with iron red foliate forms throughout, including peonies and lotus flowers, having pairs of foo dog handles to each side mounted on a simple hardwood base and wired with brass components. 13 7/8" H x 6 1/4" W x 4 5/8" D. Overall: 20 3/8" H. 20th century. 3rd & 4th items: Pair of two (2) Asian Imari style bottle form vases with squared bodies and foliate design throughout, wired as table lamps with newer brass components, mounted on a square hardwood stand, and raised on an ebonized plinth base. Vases: 12" H x 4 1/2" square. Overall: 18 3/8" H x 4 3/4" square. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Tina McWhorter Trust; from the collection of John and Tina McWhorter, Memphis, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st & 2nd items: Both items with scattered minute surface wear and grime and functional at time of inspection. Imari vase with minute area of loss to glaze measuring 1/8" dia, and loss to hardwood stand measuring 3/4" x 1/4". 3rd & 4th items: Both with minor scattered wear to gilt decoration. Both functioning at time of inspection.
