East Tennessee cherry chest of drawers, poplar secondary. Consisting of one large overhanging drawer over three graduated drawers, all dovetailed and scratch beaded, double paneled sides and fitted with wood pulls. Drawers flanked by rectangular raised tablet stiles over half pilaster turned columns transitioning to turned feet. Simple half round base molding with shaped skirt and spur returns. 45 1/4" H x 43 1/2" W x 19 3/4" D. Possibly Sullivan or Washington County, Tennessee, 2nd quarter of the 19th century.
CONDITION: Older refinished surface, drawer supports replaced, drawer sides with slight build-up. Pulls appear to be original.
