10 (Ten) Antique Vesta Cases / Match Safes and Calling Card Cases, most sterling silver. 6 Match Safes include: 1 jockey cap with strikeplate to the hinged bill, stamped Sterling and 925 with G in diamond; 1 brass violin form, unsigned; and 4 safes with English Victorian hallmarks (1 round, 3 rectangular, with varying decorations). 4 Card Cases include: 1 in the form of an envelope, 1 rectangular form with engraved foliate scroll design, monogrammed “Maude,” 1 of plain cartouche form with monogram, and 1 of cartouche form with engine-turned design and presentation inscription, all Victorian period by various Birmingham, England, makers. The Jockey and Violin match safes are likely American, early to mid 20th century. The remaining items are English, mid to late 19th century. Ranging in size from 1 3/4 in. L to 3 1/2 in. L. Combined weight of sterling items (all items excluding violin): 6.28 oz troy.

CONDITION: Jockey cap cover does not latch. Otherwise all items very good condition, some monogrammed and with scattered tiny dents.
