Large Meiji Japanese gilt and patinated bronze elephant pagoda incense burner, comprised of an elephant having a raised trunk with a two part pagoda atop its back, the pagoda surmounted by a dragon. 30 1/2" H x 30" D x 12" W. 135.4 lbs. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Provenance: Estate of Martha Lyman, Dayton, TN. CONDITION: Overall very good condition with light general wear. Loss of dragon tails on one side of saddle.
