Four (4) Chinese Republic painted porcelain plaques depicting recumbent male figures in naturalistic settings with character inscriptions, including three (3) surrounded by precious objects and one (1) observing a pair of geese, with red seal to left side. All float mounted under glass in giltwood frames with geometric molding, brown canvas liners, and gilt fillets. Plaques: 8" H x 5" W. Framed: 16 7/8" H x 14 1/8" W.

CONDITION: Minute wear to edges and minute flaws in the making of porcelain plaques; one plaque with loss to upper left corner measuring 5/8" x 1/8". Does not affect images. Some pigment loss to shoulder of figure with geese. Not examined outside of frames.
