Signed “TDOUGHTY” lower center. With Christies auction labels to stretcher, plus one loose. Housed in a gilt wooden frame of the period. Frame: 47 in W x 40 in H. Sight: 35 in W x 28 in H.
PROVENANCE: The Mary Louise Thompson Revocable Trust, Chevy Chase, MD. Christies, NY, March 14, 1991, lot 12.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Canvas has been relined. Scattered retouching throughout, especially to sky and edges, largest area in the upper center of the sky, 6 1/2 inch x 3 inch. See UV photography.
