1st item: Two (2) gallon cobalt decorated salt-glazed stoneware jar with foliate, line decoration, and freehand "2". Incised lines on upper shoulder, and incised "2" stamp denoting gallon capacity. 11 1/4"H. Southern or Mid-Atlantic, second half of the 19th century. 2nd item: Middle Tennessee stoneware pitcher with light brown to grey transition glaze, pulled handle and incised line to neck. Pitcher: 9 1/4" H. Middle Tennessee, Late 19th/early 20th century.
CONDITION: Both items in very good condition with scattered firing flaws. Jar with discoloration to glaze and shallow chip to rim.
