A boat is tethered along the riverbank and a lush forest extends into the background. Unsigned. Housed in a period gilt and gesso wood frame. Sight: 13 in H x 18 in W. Framed: 16 1/2 in H x 21 1/4 in W. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Alex and Cristina Ionescu, South Carolina, by descent from his father, the artist, conservator, and collector Vlaicu Ionescu.
CONDITION: Painting has been laid to board. Overall light grime. Framed with minor wear and some losses to the left margin.
