Lot 1171: 2 Antique Yomud or Yomut Turkmen Chuval Rugs

Two Antique Yomud or Yomut Turkmen Chuval area rugs, wool on wool, both with a central brick red field with three rows of three guls. The first rug with a wide lower elem panel having geometric diamond decoration. Woven in colors of rust, salmon, blue, red, and cream. 4 ft 3 in x 2 ft 7 in and 3 ft 11 in x 2 ft 1 in. Both circa 1880s.

CONDITION:

1st item: Losses to both fringed ends and sides, some moderate pile wear. 2nd item: Losses to one corner and some fading.
