Sheraton tiger maple one drawer stand or work table, poplar secondary, square nail and pegged construction; the figured top over a single drawer with wide dovetails, brass escutcheon set sideways, no pull; atop ring turned and tapered legs ending in tapering turned block feet with narrow tips. 27 3/4" H x 22 1/2" W x 17" D. Possibly Tennessee, early 19th century. Provenance: descended in a Sumner County, Tennessee family. CONDITION: 1/2" gouge to back of one table foot, shrinkage and stains to top. Replaced strip to back edge of table.
