Southern Federal inlaid mahogany chest of drawers, yellow pine and poplar secondary woods, two half drawers over three graduated long drawers, all dovetailed, with string inlay and inlaid escutcheons, over a band of barber pole inlay above the scalloped apron, all on tall French feet. 39 7/8" H x 40 3/4" W x 18 5/8" D, circa 1800. CONDITION: Wear to back legs. Stains on top surface, a couple of drawer sides have been built up. Replaced brasses. Some glue blocks missing to underside near feet.
