Achille De Dominicus (Italy, 1851-1917) watercolor on paper painting depicting a kneeling man in a blue jacket, a young girl in a yellow kerchief, and a man in a brown hat and jacket leaning over a boulder at the base of a long, stone staircase flanked by a rocky overhang to the right and lush treetops to the left. An additional figure carrying a bundle climbs the stairs towards a classical tholos structure at the summit. Signed "A. De Dominicus Roma" lower left. Framer's sticker label, en verso. Housed and matted under glass in a giltwood frame with gilt sight edge. Sight: 29 1/2" H x 15 1/4" W. Framed: 44 1/4" H x 29 1/4" W.

CONDITION: Overall very good condition with minute warping of paper. Mat has some discoloration and foxing spots. Frame with minor surface wear, mostly to corners. Not examined outside of frame.
