1st groupIng: 6 sterling and Continental silver candlesticks, including a pair of two (2) Whiting oval Neoclassical style candlesticks (9.75 oz troy); a pair of two (2) Gorham weighted sterling candlesticks with round bases; and two (2) .800 silver Corinthian column style candlesticks (non-matching). 1 candlestick is marked with German hallmarks and engraved "Maj. Baefsler 1908" and weighs 3.8 oz troy; the other is weighted and engraved "Tischgeselleshaft 1902" on one side of base and "Oberleutnant Orth, Klemme, Habedanck, Gillhaufsen, & Asehoff" on another side of the base, with monogram and crest on third side. Heights range from 5 3/4"H to 9 1/2"H. All first half 20th century. 2nd grouping: 16 pieces Continental silver including 1 Dutch .833 silver strainer spoon with pierced bowl having a chased decoration of a cow, with shield and rooster at the end of the handle; 12 Norweigan pierced and scrolled demitasse spoons stamped 830S; 1 small sled shaped salt cellar with illegible marks; 1 French silverplated letter opener with caryatid and floral end; and 1 oval master salt cellar or small bowl with lion mask to one handle, the other handle with small rings; unidentified marks. Combined weight of strainer spoon and demitasse spoons: 4.66 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Camille Gift, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Some scattered minor dents to candlesticks; otherwise all items overall good condition.
