A large pair of Matthew Boulton Old Sheffield Silver Plate three-light candelabra with detachable flame finials, reeded twisting arm section detaches to form a single candlestick. Tapering trumpet form shafts and circular bases, with gadroon detail at edges. Double sun marks on bases. The stick with repair to shaft measures 25 1/2 in. H x 18 in. W, the one without repair measures 26 in H x 18 in W. Birmingham, England, circa 1810-1815.
PROVENANCE: Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation.
CONDITION: Both overall good condition, resilvered, with scattered use wear. One candelabra missing a bobeché and with old repair to the lower shaft.
