Kentucky coin silver cup and flatware marked for George Stewart, working Lexington, 1843 to circa 1852, 24 items total. 1st item: Coin silver mug with double C scroll handle and repousse floral decoration with cartouche enclosing a monogram ISAAC Mc POLK. Stamped GEO W. STEWART in rectangle with incuse stamp LEXINGTON KY below, and another name in rectangle, rubbed (illegible). 4" H including handle. 2nd-5th items: 4 Fiddle handle tablespoons stamped GEO W STEWART in rectangle. 6th-24th items: 2 fiddle handle tablespoons, 10 shell handle teaspoons, 6 fiddle handle teaspoons, and 1 fiddle thread pattern fork, all with incuse stamps G.W. STEWART LEX KY. Combined weight: 27.7 troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Cora Jane Spiller, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
CONDITION: 1st item: Monogram and third mark worn, otherwise very good condition. Other items: Wear to ends of bowls on some spoons and tips of fork, overall very good condition. Most items monogrammed.
