31 pieces American and European flatware, sterling and coin silver. Includes 23 pieces S. Kirk and Son Repousse pattern flatware: 4 dinner knives (9" L), 4 dinner forks (7 1/4" L), 4 salad forks (6 1/4" L), 4 teaspoons (5 7/8" L), 1 tablespoon, 1 round bowl bouillon soup spoon, 1 jelly server, 1 medium cold meat serving fork, 1 bon bon spoon, and 2 butter spreaders. This lot also includes 9 other pieces of assorted silver flatware: 1 Alvin Bridal Rose pattern sterling tablespoon monogrammed with script "T"; 3 sterling spoons by various makers (1 individual salt spoon with gilt wash to bowl, 1 chocolate spoon, and 1 small Federal Building souvenir spoon); 3 coin silver teaspoons (marked for Ezra Whiton, working Boston, MA 1821-1825, Henry Stanton, working Rochester, NY ca. 1840-1855, and TH. SCHOPP, dated 1853 to reverse of handle); and 1 German silver spoon, with possible Danzig City Mark. German text inscription dated 1822 to reverse of handle. Combined sterling silver weight: 26.890 total weighable troy ounces. Combined coin silver weight (includes German spoon): 1.330 total troy ounces.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with light surface wear. Kirk soup spoon with minute dents to bowls. Coin silver spoons with dents to bowls and handles, Whiton spoon with slightly misshapen handle. All coin silver spoons monogrammed or inscribed; some other items monogrammed
