After Ferdinando De Luca (Italy, 1785-1869) gilt and verdigris bronze sculpture depicting a barefooted farm girl carrying a sheaf of wheat, with a goat beside her reaching up to nibble it, upon a naturalistic base. Mounted on a black marble square base with canted corners. Signed "F. de Luca" and numbered 250/19 to rear bottom edge of figure's skirt. 23 3/8" H x 9 7/8" W x 8 5/8" D. 20th century.
CONDITION: Minute scattered areas of oxidation.
