Two (2) Continental School watercolor on paper Grand Tour cityscape paintings. 1st item: Small watercolor depicting a street in Seville, Spain with a blue domed church, possibly the Church of San Pedro, with figures sitting along the street under a blue sky. Inscribed "…Seville" lower left. Housed and double matter in a custom giltwood frame under glass. Sight: 7" H x 5" W. Framed: 17" H x 14" W. 2nd item: Watercolor depicting an arcaded courtyard of a monastery with figures in the Mediterranean region, possibly in Italy or Spain, with a Corinthian column in the foreground and architectural ruins on a hill in the background. Inscribed "Salome 1879" in lower left corner. Housed and double matted in a custom ebonized frame with a gilt fillet. Sight: 6 3/4" H x 10" W. Framed: 17" H x 19 1/2" W. Both items late 19th century.
CONDITION: Both items in overall very good condition. Not examined outside of frames.
