American Hudson River School oil on canvas landscape painting depicting two figures conversing at a wooden rail overlooking a large lake. The sun illuminates a group of trees to their left and cliffs in the near distance. Housed in a later giltwood with fluted, foliate, and lunette moldings. Sight: 18 3/4" H x 23" W. Framed: 27 1/2" H x 31 3/4" W. 19th century.
CONDITION: Canvas has been laid down on board. Minor surface grime throughout. Minor scattered losses, largest area measuring 1/4" x 3/4".
