Two (2) American silver items, including sterling large trophy mug or loving cup and a coin silver spoon. 1st item: Large (10") Meriden Brittania sterling silver four and one-half pint cup with flared rim, C-scroll handle with repousse leaf forms, tapered round body, and a round footed base. Stamped with maker's mark, Sterling, "788", and "10 In 4 1/2 Pts" to underside. Monogrammed "SLJ". 11" H x 9 1/2" W x approx. 6 1/8" D. 22.055 troy ounces sterling. 2nd item: Large coin silver serving spoon with rounded fins, downturned rounded tipt and oblong bowl. Stamped with retailer's mark for George B. Hoyt (Albany, New York, mid 19th century), "D", and pseudohallmarks of bird and bust to underside. Monogrammed "FH". 12 3/8" L. 4.055 troy ounces coin.
CONDITION: Both items monogrammed. 1st item: Scattered surface wear and denting to body, largest measuring 3/4" x 1"; significant denting to rim; slight bend to body; dent to foot measuring approximately 1 1/4" L. 2nd item: Overall good condition with scattered minute surface scratches and minor pitting.
