Lot 1142: 16 pcs Silver Including Sterling Liquor Cups

16 pcs assorted silver hollowware including 1 sterling Shreve & Co. San Francisco ashtray with guilloche border; 6 silver liquor cups with repousse floral decoration to sides, marked 925 Sterling, with other unidentified marks, 1 bearing a sticker for Girotti, Bologna, likely Italian, 2 1/2 in H; 1 Gorham enameled sterling “stoplight jigger” cup with divided measuring lines; 1 Webster sterling shot cup in the form of a thimble, engraved “only a thimble full”; 1 small English sterling mug or cup hallmarked for Barker Ellis Co., Birmingham, 1970; 2 pc set of salt and pepper shakers with band of chased anthemion decoration and glass inserts, marked .900 HT; 1 Gorham sterling silver candle snuffer with turned handle, and 2 napkin rings with beaded edges, marked .900. Also included is one unmarked, likely silverplated, decorative small basket with openwork and pear and leaf designs, 7 1/2 in diameter. Combined weighable marked sterling (including all cups): 16.86 oz troy. Napkin rings (.900 silver) 1.1 oz. 

PROVENANCE: A Nashville, TN estate.

CONDITION: Handled cup has some dents, most noticeably to footring, and does not sit flat. Some light pitting to salt/pepper shakers and 1 spot of pitting to ashtray. Other items in excellent condition.
