Kentucky Sheraton sugar chest, cherry primary, poplar secondary, having a rectangular case; three-quarter depth hinged top above one dovetailed drawer with wood pulls and brass inlaid escutcheons over turned Sheraton legs. Old M.J. White & Company, Lexington, Kentucky refinisher's label en verso. 33 1/8" H x 36 1/2" W x 18" D. Circa 1825. Provenance: The Living Estate of Elizabeth Johnston Davidson Frierson, Knoxville, TN. CONDITION: Old refinish, interior divider missing.
