Three (3) piece French gilt bronze and white marble garniture set with mythological figures upon valance draped plinth bases with paw feet, including one (1) Vincenti & Cie mantel clock depicting Cupid presenting Psyche with a dove above porcelain clock face with partially legible mark "D….foy Paris" raised on a rectangular base with lamb's tongue and torch crossed with quiver, stamped "Medaille D'argent Vincenti Cie 1855 / Made in France" to works; and two (2) four-arm candelabras after Etienne Maurice Falconet (France, 1716-1791) depicting putti partially draped in cloth grasping naturalistic branches that terminate in urn form bobeches with foliate design, including one with a tambourine, raised on circular pedestal with floral garland and lamb's tongue on square plinth, signed "Falconet" to naturalistic base under figures, marked FRANCE to underside of feet. Clock: 17" H x 11 1/2" W x 6 1/4" D. Candelabras: 18 1/2" H x 6" square (base) and approx. 12" dia. (overall). Third quarter of the 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Clock with minute wear with fixtures slightly loose in setting; retains key. Not tested for functionality. one candelabra with with bending to arms; one candelabra with one bobeche loose and two bobeches replaced.
