Eight (8) pieces Victorian Jewelry including 2 hair work pocketwatch chains and 6 brooches. Includes 1 gold filled circular brooch with tourmaline center and vacant hair compartment to reverse, plus 7 woven hairwork items with gold filled mounts: 1 pocket watch chain; 1 pocket watch chain with compass attachment; 1 brooch with onyx and seed pearl surround, chain, and “T” with hair insert, monogrammed A.G. Trafton; 3 brooches with black enamel and gilt surrounds; and 1 with chased gold surround monogrammed E.W. Cole to E.A.L 1844. Watch chains: 10 in and 12 in. Brooches: 1 in W to 1 1/2 in W.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Minor wear to all items; watch chains with some fraying. A couple of brooches have possible repairs to closures.
