A Napoleon III ebonized mahogany and gilt bronze-mounted ladies desk, with two letter cabinets flanking a pair of drawers, inset shaped leather writing surface, serpentine top over a shaped apron with a drawer, resting on cabriolelegs, with applied SËvres style porcelain plaques, 2 oval mirrors and gilt bronze mounts. One letter cabinet with attached plaque engraved "Rebecca". Very good condition with minor loss to veneer on right cabriole leg. 46" H x 26-1/2" D x 43-3/4" W. French, late 19th/early 20th century.
