Franz Xavier Bergmann (Austrian/American, 1861-1936) cold-painted bronze sculpture depicting an exotic, partially nude woman standing and holding a water ewer on her turban-wrapped head, attired in green drapery, which opens to reveal her nude body, and resting on a naturalistic base. Additionally fitted with a circular green hardstone base, possibly an ashtray. The side of the naturalistic base with the “B’ within an urn form cartouche foundry mark and signed “Nam Greb”. The underside of the hardstone base is marked MADE IN AUSTRIA. 10 1/2 in. total H. Sculpture measures 9 3/4 in. H.
