Sterling Boyd Strauser (Pennsylvania, 1907-1995) oil on board still life painting depicting a single orange-tinged yellow lily against a mustard yellow background; deliberately covered in a thick layer of varnish, giving the painting a glossy appearance. Signed “Strauser 88” upper right. Housed in a shadowbox style silver wooden frame with painted salmon fillet and linen mat. Sight 11 1/2 in. W x 8 1/8 in. H. Framed: 17 1/4 in. W x 14 1/4 in. H.
