Antique Ersari Turkmen Ensi rug, wool on wool. Central brick red field with diamond decoration within four primary borders. Woven in brick red, brown, blue, and cream colors. 5 ft 7 in x 4 ft 10 in. Circa 1870's.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Several patch repairs including one to the center and several along one end along with other repairs. Uneven pile wear with heavier wear to one end.
