1st item: Afghan Baluch Balisht tribal pillow, rectangular form in colors of rust, blue, and cream. 38″ W x 18″ H. Circa 1870’s. 2nd item: Turkman Yomut or Yomud Pillow with Kepse motif, rectangular form in colors of brown, salmon, blue, and cream, with long fringe. 40″ H x 16 1/2″ W. Circa 1890’s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: 1st item: Losses to the pile and scattered wear/loss to edges. 2nd item: Overall very good condition, loses to embroidery left margin, some very minor staining en verso.
