Charles Herbert Woodbury (American, 1864-1940) oil on canvas street scene landscape painting titled "Cape Ann Village" depicting a figure in cart, loaded with snow, traveling down a street lined with buildings; the mast of a tall ship is visible over the rooftops in the background. Signed "CH Woodbury" lower right and dated "Nov. '82" lower left. Exhibited, "Earth, Sea and Sky," an exhibit organized by the MIT museum which traveled throughout the US from 1988-1993. Label en verso lists museums participating in the tour, including Cheekwood, Nashville, Tennessee.
