Antique Yomud or Yomut Turkmen Ensi tribal rug, wool on wool, central cruciform design with four panels having geometric designs, within four primary borders, wide lower elem panel with radiating diamond designs. Woven in red, blue, and cream colors. 5ft 2in x 3ft 11in. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: One half of the rug with scattered light grey discoloration to pile, one margin near the center with approximately one-inch tear, and both fringed ends with wear.
