Three (3) watercolor portrait miniatures of Victorian subjects, probably European, including one oval portrait of a woman holding a child, in an outdoor setting, applied to the lid of a rosewood oval trinket box with brass line inlay, mid 19th century, together with two individual oval portraits of women believed to be sisters, wearing elegant white gowns with their dark hair in ringlets, also in outdoor settings. One of the sister portraits is illegibly signed, “Saa–” or “Sad–“. Sister portraits likely early 20th century: each 3 1/8 in. H x 2 1/2 in. W, matted under non-glare glass in wood frames 5 1/4 in. H x 4 1/2 in. W. Mother and child portrait: 2 3/4 in. x 2 in., box 2 1/2 in. H x 4 in. W x 3 in. D.

Private Middle Tennessee collection.
CONDITION:
The trinket box has an area of lifting to the brass line inlay. Portrait is in very good condition. Possible later framing to the sister portraits. One of the sister portraits has area of abrasion/loss to frame. Portraits are in very good condition.
